Why buy the Ag Tag? Agriculture holds a special place in the hearts of Tennesseans, and is at the heart of Tennessee's economy. When you take Tennessee's Ag Tag on the road, you'll show pride in your state while investing in Tennessee's future.
Who benefits from it? Special license plates have been popular for a decade, but only a few have their proceeds designated to special funds related to the tag's theme or emblem. Tennessee Ag Tag dollars will fund the Tennessee Agricultural Development Fund, supporting agricultural youth organizations and agricultural and forestry awareness, education and marketing programs. For just $35 (plus your normal tag fees) you can show pride in Tennessee and help fellow citizens understand and appreciate agriculture for years to come.
How do I get one? Just take your current plate off your car and into your county clerk's office and exchange it for Tennessee's Ag Tag. There's no need to wait for your registration to expire. The time remaining on your registration will be credited to your new registration. Contact your county clerk's office for information on how to receive your tag by mail.
