Additional Information: Blue Well Farms pork is raised in the heart of Middle Tennessee on a farm that has been in the Phillips family for more than 100 years. Today, Jeff and Julie Phillips and their daughters, Jacie and Jessie Kate, follow in the footsteps of Jeff's grandparents, Charles and Frances Smith, who began raising hogs after World War II. Jeff's parents took over the small operation in the 1980s and, in the 1990s, expanded production to more than 100 sows. Through the years, the Phillips family has carefully cultivated tried-and-true breeding practices to offer the highest quality pork possible. The Berkshire hogs of Blue Well Farms receive twice-daily care and are fed a diet of locally sourced corn and soybean meal. Blue Well Farms offers bratwurst, pork burgers, ground pork, bulk and pattied sausage, bacon, pork chops, tenderloins, ribs and backbone. Their farm fresh USDA-certified pork products are sold at the Shop Springs Creamery in Shop Spings and The Sassy Pecan in Watertown.
