Additional Information: As a nurse, I was well informed with how the skin functions as our largest organ and how skin integrity affects our overall health and wellness. Commercial products exacerbated my skin ailments. In search of better skin-care and hygiene products, I started formulating and testing them; initially, gifting and selling my creations to family, friends and at local vendor events. Many times profits benefited local charities or individuals in need. Handcrafting bath & body products since 1995, Hatchie River Soapworks has grown from a side hobby to a retail and on-line business. Subsequently, after retiring from 30 years of Nursing in 2019, I adopted the current business name and brand and opened a storefront in Bolivar. We specialize in creating a variety of soaps, lotions, balms, butters, bath bombs and more, made just a few miles from the Hatchie River in Hardeman County. We prefer locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Our store also features other local artisan products that enhance our soap. Our goal is to produce affordable skin care that's good for you, that you can feel great about using!
