Additional Information: We bought our 46-acre farm in 2014 and decided to start growing lavender in 2015. After several years of planting and replanting, we finally figured out where it would grow best and that's when our lavender farm started to take off. We now have about 1400 plants and we add several hundred new plants every spring. Along with growing lavender, I make flaxseed and lavender neck wraps, flaxseed and lavender eye pillows, dried lavender bundles, and lavender sachets. Thanks to the Farm Bureau of Tennessee I was on the cover of this spring's Tennessee Home and Farm magazine. That article put us on the lavender map and allowed us to have a super successful U-Pick where over 700 people visited our farm from June 1-9. The location of our farm is conveniently located just 2.5 miles off I81.
