Additional Information: Gentry Homestead is more than just a farm. It's a labor of love built by my husband, Michael, and me, Hunter Gentry, to provide our community with fresh, chemical-free, locally grown food. Established in 2021 on 14 acres of beautiful land in McDonald, TN, our farm is a place where tradition, sustainability, and community come together. Our main focus is on raising Kunekune pigs, a heritage breed known for its exceptional pork quality. What makes our operation unique is that we control the entire process: we breed, raise, and finish our pigs on the farm, ensuring that from birth to harvest, they are cared for with the utmost attention to detail. This hands-on approach guarantees the highest quality pork for our customers. In addition to our pork, we also produce chicken and duck eggs, goat milk soap, and seasonal produce, all grown and raised without chemicals, steroids, or growth hormones. Our customers appreciate that they are getting food that is fresh, responsibly produced, and directly from a farm they can visit and trust. Gentry Homestead is nestled in the rolling hills of southeast Tennessee, just a short drive from Cleveland. Our farm is not only a source of local food but also a place where people can connect with the land. We offer workshops, private farm visits, and volunteer opportunities, inviting the community to learn about sustainable farming and animal care. One of the most special aspects of our location is our annual pumpkin recycling event, where local families bring their post-Halloween pumpkins to the farm to feed our pigs. This fun event highlights our commitment to waste reduction and environmental sustainability. We believe in fostering a farm-to-table connection with our customers, whether it's at our weekly market booth at Farmers on First or during a farm visit. Our story is about more than just farming; it's about building a self-sufficient, sustainable homestead that we can share with our community and future generations.
