Additional Information: Hello! We are Brant and Lauren Pippin. We are a couple committed to producing clean, easily accessible and sustainable food for our customers through the practices of regenerative agriculture. We currently supply our community with pasture raised pork and are also working on having lamb sometime in 2024. All of our animals are raised with regenerative agriculture in mind. Our goals are to help heal degraded ecosystems, emphasize biodiversity, regenerate topsoil, improve the natural water cycle, prevent and reverse desertification, and sequester CO2. We are doing this by implementing practices like intensive rotational grazing, multi-species foraging, and refusing to use unnatural chemicals or medications. In this way of farming, we are able to work with nature rather than trying to manipulate and control it. This leads to healthier animals, humans, and a healthier planet. We also feel that animals were intended to be raised on pasture and this is something we do with every animal that we own. It's how they evolved and they are happiest when given as much space to roam as possible. Being pasture-raised means animals can contribute to land management, and if managed properly, this can enhance the soil health on the farm. This is a big deal because soil health is one of the most important aspects of a healthy ecosystem and with healthy soil comes healthier grass, animals, and humans. All of our animals are also Heritage breeds. This means that they are breeds that have stayed true to breed standards and have been around for many generations. Their genes have not been modified for making a profit but instead, they have been bred to be hardier and perform well with less intervention. While heritage breeds take longer to reach market readiness, what ends up on your plate is more nutrient-dense, has higher-quality fats, and better flavor than factory-farmed meats.
